The first of four new Lincoln one-cent coins was released last week but only to select parts of the United States. Currently Americans are cashing in more pennies than they have traditionally hoarded. Due to the surplus number of pennies available, the government will not be putting many of these new Lincoln pennies into circulation just yet.
