 Probably a thread on this already, but I just wanted to bring note to the various methods of photographing coins for the database.

Nicholas beautifully photographs his coins. I scan my coins at 300 resolution.

Anyhoo, not sure if there are other methods, but I just wanted to bring attention to the methods of photographing available.

 Oh, just some cheap Lexmark X1130 thing. Does the job. Only drawback with scanning is keeping the coins orientated correctly..not usually a problem.

 So do you find it easier to scan one coin at a time or do you scan a bunch at once and then break up the image into individual pictures?

 Oh, one at a time, otherwise you end up with the coins being different sizes. Anyhoo, those are the two methods I think.
