Mystery Coin Gallery

I've created the gallery above where braggers can upload their coin pictures. If you are going to ask for help, it helps us to have a picture of what you are talking about.

You have to be a member of CoinBrag to upload your pictures, which makes sense since you have to be a member to post on these boards.

In your CoinBrag profile YOU MUST HAVE THE GALLERY CHECKBOX CHECKED or else you won't be able to access the gallery and upload your pictures.

I have this old tyre coin, and i could not match it with any of the pictures in the data base, not even on other websites. So if you can please help me out identifying this coin and its value. Thank you very much.

Hiya, I think (but don't quote me!) it's a Sheqel of about 80/90BC. The 'TM' is the date. The head is possibly the god Melqart.

What a fantastic coin.

I thought this is an ancient Egyptian coin from the Ptolemaic Dynasty, which used similar designs to the coins from ancient Tyre.

Be careful,as deceptive forgeries exist of the silver coins.

Aidan.
