The current selling price on eBay for the Lincoln Chronicles set is between $120 and $150. Will it rise in value or fall in the next year?
The set will rise beyond $150

The set will fall below $120

The set will still be between 120 and 150 this time next year.

This thread is to discuss the article I wrote about the limited edition Lincoln Coin and Chronicles set.

It always surprises me how much someone will pay for a new item. I really don't think the person paying $300 for a $56 set is doing so out of speculation or investment. I think they just really want the set for their collection and they want to have it right away. There is something special about being the first to have things. With over 300 million citizens in the U.S. alone, those 50,000 sets will be very exclusive.

Do you believe that these will continue to be hot items for long? Will the January 1, 2010 eBay selling price be $90 or $190? How about Oct 15, 2010?

when the british undated 20p mule coin became public knowledge, they sold on ebay for up to £7000, now only 4 months later they sell for around £80, a coin, like anything else is worth what people are willing to pay.

Looks like it's tied 2-2-0. Lots of people have viewed but were too afraid to guess?

When the 2009 FY (LP-2) Lincoln Cent doubled die's were first discorved they were selling on e-bay for unheard of prices. Six months later you will be lucky tp sell one. However there were a lot more than 50,000 of them. I think the price will fall.

Well so far is looks like the pricing is between $130-180 on eBay.

Anyone see this set at their local coin shop? I am curious to see what the dealers are asking.
